The new angle in Entertainment!
Beyonce stopped her concert for a moment of silence in the wake of George Zimmerman’s not guilty verdict.
And now her sister Solange Knowles has used the message once spoken by human rights activist Malcolm X to express her outrage after Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin.
The 27-year-old entertainer held the rally on Sunday at Borough Hall in Brooklyn, New York and she held a plaque between her hands which quoted Malcolm X’s words: ‘I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice, no matter who it’s for or against.’ She remained somber and calm while speaking in front of a crowd that numbered in the hundreds.
Solange wore cut-off denim shorts and a plain navy T-shirt, and no make-up whatsoever.
