The new angle in Entertainment!

40 year old rap sensation Marshall Mathers a.k.a Eminem has spent a couple of years in a roller coaster ride through the dimensions of drug problems pertaining majorly to abuse of prescriptions pills, landing him once in a case of drug overdose that nearly claimed his life.

In the year 2009,Eminem was suffering a severe drug addiction, using prescription pills unsystematically as he presumed he could control the use of such medication since they were different from other forms of drug abuse, such as shooting heroin or sniffing cocaine. The father of 3 opened up in a recent documentary titled ‘How to Make Money Selling Drugs’ about his fight against the addiction, narrating the tale of his near death experience after a long stint of constant overdose of Vicodin, Xanax and Valium. According to him, his arrival at the hospital on time during one of his episodes, is what preserved  his life, as even the attending doctors thought he was never going to make it, and wanted to put him on dialysis. If he had arrived two hours late, he would have died. Sleep deprivation was the next peril endured by the rapper for a period of 3weeks. After this excruciating ordeal, he relapsed. Slim Shady remarked on his mental condition at the period saying “’I remember walking around my house and thinking every single day, “I’m gonna f*****g die.” I’m looking at my kids, and like, I need to be here for this,

By 2010,Eminem was on a strong career comeback as he took up sobriety and focused on his album which was titled “Recovery”, thus reflecting the state of his life and drug challenges.

His 3kids are Hallie Jade, whom he had with ex-wife Kimberly Scott, Whitney who is Kimberly’s child from a previous relationship, and Alaina, Kimberly’s sister’s child. Whitney and Alaina were both adopted by him.

Eminem’s words to anyone battling drug abuse are “It does get better, you know. It just does”
