The new angle in Entertainment!
Having seen what fame did to his father you might have expected Prince Jackson to shun the spotlight but the 16-year-old has followed Michael Jackson’s foot steps into show business with his appointment as a special correspondent for Entertainment Tonight.
“I’m looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor”, the smart young dude explained.
As the program’s correspondent, Prince will be talking to celebrities for the show. His first interview would be with the Oz The Great and Powerful stars including James Franco, Zach Braff and director Sam Raimi who are set to be screened this week.
The teen told ET: “I’ve been raised around stuff like this so it was different being the interviewer instead of the one being interviewed.”
During the interview Prince refers to his late father, when he is complimented on his maturity.
“That’s what most of my people say,” he responds. ‘That was all thanks to my dad. He raised me right.’
The teen was just 12 years old when his singer father died, leaving Prince and his two siblings orphans.
ET correspondent Brooke Anderson mentored Prince, who sought advice from actor Franco about making it in the industry.
‘I always tell people, just go out and try, and stop waiting around or dreaming it’s going to happen,’ said Franco. ‘Just go and start doing things on your own.’
